Be Fit 101 Turned Out To Be Travel 101

Eeehh. Forgive me but you are really getting fat.” people would tell me.  I answered with a smile, “So fat, I think!

Well, I ‘m not so sad about being fat. For people who have seen the difference way back then and now, I can say you have healthy eyes. However, just like you I am also concern about my health. I cannot just make an auto reply “smile” every time you tell me that I’m fat. I know it’s your way of telling me that you need to do something good for your body.

I think the suggestion is acceptable. I told myself that I have to start exercising. Doing it alone is lonely and not so fun to do. Good thing, I shared the same health issue with one of my friends. Let us just hide her real name and call her Love (LOL!). Here comes the “Be-Fit 101 Program” . She said, “Let us jog every Sunday morning.” Without hesitation, I agreed to her suggestion. I also told her that let us just do 5 round jog in our first attempt of becoming fit.

Argao Nature Park
We started @ 6am which is supposed to be 5am. The couple (Michael and Love) picked me up in Prince Warehouse Club, Inc. Not to mention, it’s the biggest grocery store in our barangay. I wonder, how much tax they are paying? Never mind that’s just a pop up thought. Going back, as usual we’re late (barkada talent that needs to be abolished). During our jogging session, a supposed to be serious jogging turned to a comic one.  Michael eyed lots of funny people around or probably, we just made them look funny. What we didn’t know, we probably look funny in their eyes too. Hence, we are the only jogger who wore slippers at that time.

The moment we decided to stop and catch some breath. Leif, one of our friends who accepted the challenge came in super late. He is really good to be on time, huh!? Well, let’s forgive him he is just human like us. Afterwards, we decided to go to Palm Beach in Minglanilla – the famous beach resort in Minglanilla that only few can afford. Well, I don’t know why. Please, do not ask me. Hahahha.

After eating yummy lechon manok and hanging rice (tag 3 pesos na dako kaayo ug lami pa jud), we had some talks and an idea came out. “Let us go to the south at Ubong nature’s spring.”

The name sounds really nice. Are you sure? We don’t have money (that makes the adventure exciting).  Having no money is not really new to the barkada. We love doing adventure without enough resources. That makes us so resourceful, I think. (Well, I’m just saying for readers’ sake.) We even had stop ever. First stop, Argao Nature (Adventure) Park. We’ve been there before but we’ve noticed additional animals and new comfortable rest rooms so it’s like our first time. We paid 5-peso entrance free each person. That’s not too expensive but a big deduction to our budget. After eating our leftover foods (fromPalm Beach), we decided to continue our journey. The adventure to the south is really refreshing -cold air and green trees.  The thing that was not known to me is that no one among us knows the exact location of Ubong Spring.  In fact,  the “unahan” word was abused by Leif. He keeps assuring us that “unahan na” (almost there ba ang english ana?). Finally, after 10 times of abusing that word we reached its location. It was my first time to visit the spring so I was really excited. Yes, the place is really nice.  I think cold water is really good to me.  We also tried their sea water but it’s nothing compares to their spring water.

Cabecera de Argao

Well, time passed by so fast and we need to go home. In our return, we stopped in Argao’s central and took some pictures with their big sized Torta bread. At that time, I’ve learned you cannot tell time when you’re having fun.
