PACIFIC RIM - Short Movie Review

They counted on the humans to hide, to give up, to fail.  They never considered our ability to stand, to endure, that we’d rise to the challenge. - Raleigh Becket

That sounds like a challenge, right? Yes, you can probably feel the same challenge if you are in the actual situation. Even, feel it better by watching the movie Pacific Rim by Guillermo del Toro. It is this years' American science fiction movie where you will witness Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Burn Gorman, Robert Kazinsky, Max Martini, and Ron Perlman in action playing their respective roles. They are in the middle of the war against the Kaijus (colossal monsters which have emerged from an interdimensional portal on the floor of the Pacific Ocean) in the year 2020.

Basically, it is set in the future. I just hope it won't happen since it's really scary. What if, it will? Before you answer that question, better let me finish this post. The memorable thing I can remember when I watched the movie was failing to notice when the movie started. The introduction is like a narration of the current situation they are in. Your attention will be captured by the amazing visual effects from the start to end.

As I said, the story is a war between humanity and the Kaijus. This unexpected existence of monsters caused destruction which left horrible memories to people. This pain brought them to creation of gigantic robots (for me, it looks like Gundam robots) which are controlled by two pilots. These robots fight back against monsters in behalf of the human race. However, they still have struggle of controlling the enemy.

Now, how will they be able to do that? Will they be able to stand, endure and continue to accept the challenge like most of us do every time we’re given life problems?  I guess it's your turn to watch the movie and find out.
